Dean is a certified nutritionist, sports nutritionist and dedicated run coach, starting Rise with one mission: to empower everyday people to reach their full potential through structured nutrition and running plans that work with their lives.

Having discovered his passion for nutrition and running in his mid-twenties, Dean has spent close to a decade studying, testing the market and refining his approach, ensuring the offering at Rise is unmatched.

Dean has vast experience in both nutrition and run coaching, including tailored nutrition plans for large gym communities, personalised coaching for individuals trying to achieve their goal weights and successful run coaching from new runners achieving 5K PB’s or more experienced runners looking to complete their first marathon.

Dean’s approach is to work with you to craft personalised strategies that optimise your nutrition, enhance your training, and elevate your performance. Most importantly, Dean is a huge believer in balance and designs nutrition and running solutions that don’t detract from your lifestyle.

Dean is currently recovering from a significant injury, which meant foregoing all races in the second half of 2024. His current goal is to recover patiently and begin building towards a sub 2hr 45m marathon in 2025!

LAUREN FAULKNER

Lauren is an experienced Business Manager, who is passionate about building long-term relationships and delivering service that helps others to achieve the goals that they set out to achieve.

Lauren prioritises her health and wellbeing, and is focused on living a balanced lifestyle. You will find her at the gym or in the pilates studio most mornings, but most weekends she’s focused on trying the newest café/ restaurant or relaxing by the beach.

At her role at Rise, Lauren will support your ongoing engagement and manage any of your administrative needs!

Lauren’s current goal is to stay fit and healthy during her first pregnancy. With a little one due in January 2025, Lauren has now shifted her full-time HIIT training to a split of strength training, combined with regular pilates and at least 30 minutes of walking per day.
